「為什麼我們應該錄取你?」面試時必問的開放式問題,這樣答大加分

一、應徵動機

第一個問題:「Why did you want this job?」
字面上意義是「想要這份工作的理由」,而除了動機之外,更重要的就是「有甚麼能力」能勝任這份工作?能提供甚麼東西給公司?能為公司帶來什麼幫助?

所以在回答中,必須包含以下三個元素:
1. 擁有這份工作相對應的能力
2. 對這份工作的熱誠
3. 展現符合公司的文化

以下是範例回答:

「I want this job because I've always loved building and marketing websites—even as a kid. I built websites when they were using frames. I was 10 or 11. I've always been passionate about digital marketing, but I just didn't know I could make a career out of trying to get people to a website.」

描述對一個領域的熱情,可以更強烈的顯示出對領域內工作的熱忱,也因此我培養了相對應的能力,期待能勝任這份新工作。

二、為什麼要錄取你?

「Why should I hire you?」
這是一個非常直接的問題,通常會在面試即將結束時出現,因此也是能讓人印象深刻的回答機會,這時可以統整面試內容,並「把自己想成是一個產品」,試著用「推銷自己」的角度思考。以下是範例回答:

「To me, it sounds as if you're looking for someone to come in and take charge immediately. It also sounds like you are experiencing problems. With my years of experience, I have come up with solutions that saved companies thousands of dollars. I have the ability to stay focused in stressful situations and deal with problems head-on. I'm confident I would be a great addition to your team.」

表達自己觀察到公司正經歷的的問題與難關、以及能提供的解決方案,有什麼過往的經驗可以為公司提供解救的方向,就是給面試官決定雇用的最佳理由。

三、對公司了解多少?

「What did you know about our company?」
面試前必須做好功課,了解一家公司的產品、歷史、發展等等,並想清楚這份工作想要找的人選,需要具備哪些特質、能力、經驗。以下是範例回答:

「First of all, I know for a fact that you started 5 years ago and built a good reputation for yourself. Your primary revenue is from the business deal with 123 Company, and your main competitor is ABC Company. Currently you’re looking for a marketing consultant, I think it’s because you wanted to develop new markets for your product.」

從產品、收入來源、競爭者來分析切入,能凸顯自己對公司有簡潔到位的了解,也方便直接帶到要應徵的工作職缺,描述公司想要的人選,並證明自身擁有相對應的條件。

四、為何想要在這裡工作呢?

「Why did you want to work here?」
通常這題是想了解面試者對這份工作的想像,以下是範例回答:

「Because marketing is something that I love to do, and your company offers the environment for me to really put all my skills to good use.」
一樣從熱愛的領域切入,再帶到公司相符合的地方,以及自己擁有相對應的能力、能勝任這份工作。

五、未來五年的想像?


「Where do you see yourself in 5 years?」
基本上面試官只是想要稍微了解你對未來的規劃,並非真正想知道詳細內容
,以下是範例回答:

「In five years I’d like to have an even better understanding of this industry. If possible to be in some type of managerial role at this company, where I can use my skills and knowledge to mentor the people working for me, and the company as a whole」

既然發展的細節想像不是重點,那就必須在回答中,表示出在未來有意願、嚮往能運用所知所學、為公司持續付出。

六、你的夢想工作是甚麼?是什麼推動你前進?

「What is your dream job? What motivates you?」
生涯問題也容易在面試時出現,夢想工作、人生動力等等,以下是範例回答:

「I believe that you can only do great work if you love what you do. So, my dream job would be to do what I love, hopefully at your company.」

把對產業的熱愛、熱情,轉換成對這份工作的嚮往,對於面試官來說會是最有說服力的答案。

在面試中遇到開放性問題,記得要表達出能提供給公司的東西,並把這樣內容用對夢想的熱情、對產業領域的熱愛包裝,就有很大的機會在面試中脫穎而出。
